Characters Played: Trixie Lulamoon, Fluttershy & Fluttercruel (AU)
IN CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Mami Tomoe
Canon: Puella Magi Madoka Magica
COU/AU/OC: Original Universe
Canon Point: Episode 3 - Just before doing a Tiro Finale on Charlotte
History: Here
Personality:
Mami Tomoe can immediately be seen as very polite and formal. She appears extremely cool headed and very wise, always willing to dispense advice to anyone that asks. In fact, she takes it upon herself to be a mentor to those willing. However, she does not let herself get close to anyone really. Though she's friendly, she tries to remain distant from people. She fears being abandoned.
She's also somewhat naive and childlike. She goes out of her way to make the life of a Magical Girl look cool and flashy. She'll choreograph transormation sequences, give out homework on how to be a proper magical girl, and even name and call out attacks. However, she is very aware of the dangers of being a Magical Girl. Though she encourages others to become Magical Girls, she does not want them rushing blindly into such a lifestyle and will always stress the importance of wishes and danger.
Unbeknownst to basically everyone besides herself, she is very lonely. She desperately wants to have friends, but she feels resigned to the fact that having friends is impossible. She has a very serious fear of being abandoned and thus will force herself to be distant. Though she doesn't exactly like being lonely, she believes it's worth it as long as she protects others.
Mami Tomoe is also very emotionally unstable. It's hard to tell that because she hides behind the mask of being the cool and flashy Magical Girl mentor. She feels guilty over her survival when her parents didn't make it with her. She feels so strongly that what she's doing is right that she'll casually blow off and passive aggressively threaten them depending on how dangerous or annoying she thinks others are. She cannot cope with the fact that what she's doing is wrong, because if she ever realizes that fact, she'll freak out and do everything in her power to kill others and herself.
Strengths:
Mami Tomoe is, in a way, immortal. Her soul isn't in her body, instead occupying her Soul Gem, and therefore can survive almost any blow to her body.
She can create ribbons out of nothing in a variety of shapes and sizes. She can create anything from whips to snares to single-fire flintlocks.
Being a Magical Girl also means she can communicate through telepathy to other Magical Girls of her type and Kyubey.
Weaknesses:
Mami's biggest weakness is the Soul Gem she has on her hairpin. Though her body is technically immortal, her soul isn't. If the Soul Gem is destroyed, she dies permanently. If her Soul Gem is taken 100 meters away from her, she dies until the Soul Gem is within range of her again.
There's also one more humongous weakness her Soul Gem holds. It becomes more and more corrupted the more she uses her magic and is in constant need of Grief Seeds in order to purify it. If she doesn't purify it, she will eventually become a Witch.
Possessions: Soul Gem, Yellow and white schooldress, Black hat
Pony/Animal Type: Unicorn Pony
Cutie Mark: Ribbon tied around a gun

SAMPLES
First Person: Test Drive thread
Third Person:
She was finally happy. Complete. Madoka had truly become her friend and she would never be alone again, There was to be cake. But not now. Mami was in the middle of something. She needed to defeat the witch first. It seemed so easy. This witch wasn't putting up much of a fight. It seemed a little odd... But perhaps it was friendship that strengthened her.
Friendship. It felt a little alien to her with her being alone for so long. Was this really how it felt? Did it truly make things easier? If it did, then Mami would gladly have friends! She revved up her Tiro Finale and took aim. That's when her vision was filled with rainbows. Her eyes widened and her stomach and heart became numb. Just what was happening?
For what felt like years, yet only a split second, Mami was trapped in the rainbow environment. When it cleared, Mami fell over and blinked. She scurried back up to her four feet and looked around. She was outside. Last time she checked, she wasn't. She had thought that she was in the witch's domain, about to finish it off. Neither Madoka nor Sayaka were in sight. Just where was she?
Was she ripped away from them? Mami felt a stab in her heart. She was alone. Again. She felt as if she could cry. So the only natural thing to do was calmly look over herself and then confidently explore this new, strange place she was in.
